Unique wreath and swag ideas for your one of a kind home. Nobody does you like you!

There is only one of you and that makes you a one of a kind design. So celebrate the styles and designs you love even if they are a bit different from the mainstream.
1- Keeping it Simple

A simple design will stand the test of time. It can be used all year long and it’s like putting a welcome sign on your front door.
Most people choose colors that compliment the paint colors of their home or if you want to mix it up you can choose seasonal colors.
The latest trend is neutral colors for a farmhouse country style.
Add a burlap bow and you’ve got an organic trendy look.
2- Hydrangeas are popular

Hydrangeas are popular and we love them. They never seem to go out of style. Although the ones we use are artificial, I think their popularity comes from the live flowers that people love having in their own gardens. Gorgeous!
Whether you choose a large or small hydrangea wreath for your front door it certainly will have an impact. We added a bit of extra greenery to give the illusion of new shoots coming from the base. You may just have to do a double take.
3- Mix and Match a color scheme

We love putting together different color schemes. Burgundy is very popular. Adding different colors to the mix will make a design really pop. It keeps it more interesting.
Now I love burgundy just as much as anybody but it can be a bit on the dark side. By adding in green and ivory it lightens it up by adding some contrast.
In this one we mixed wispy greenery with banksia roses. Beautiful!
4- Decorate in a theme that you love

Go all in on a color or theme that you love. Don’t feel obligated to match anything, not your house, not your porch, not your flowers. I have customers that love peacocks, bees, ladybugs, gingerbread, fairies…….and the list goes on.
I’ve often said that if it makes you smile you have a hit!
5- Nature Inspired Theme

I love to design with themes that are inspired by nature. Adding some natural elements like birdhouses, bird nests with eggs, bees, by adding branches that criss cross the wreath so there is a sweet resting spot for a little bird to perch, and as always, all the flowers and greenery.
Nature inspired wreaths and spring in particular is a wonderful way to use a variety of flowers. I personally have a habit of saving the last flower, rationalizing it is so pretty I need to keep at least one. But I do seem to end up with the prettiest flowers but I only have one. Well, this is the perfect place to use them for a wonderful spring blend.
I enjoy everything about the art of floral design. First and foremost, it is a stress release to focus on a design you originally see in your head and bring it to fruition is fun and absorbs you completely.
